Quick Review of Andy Weir’s “Project Hail Mary”

Andy Weir writes interesting, moderately engaging stories with moderately interesting characters. In The Martian, Weir’s stranded astronaut, Mark Watney, says he’s going to “science the s*** out of the problem.” That’s Weir’s mantra. Science and Secular Humanism are the gods over all and the only solution to any problem. Project Hail Mary bathes in the notion. As an engineer, I find it tedious and offensive.
